STEP #1
In order to download torrent movies and games you will be in need of a torrent client;
a program which allows you to download the actual movie or game by using torrents.
There are a lot of clients to be found at
wikipedia,
but the Torrent Doctor recommends µTorrent.
STEP #2
Now that you have a torrent client installed it is time to find the torrent belonging to your movie or game.
A torrent can be recognized by its extension which is ".torrent".
To make things easier to understand, lets pretend that the torrent is a mobile phone SIM card, which is needed to establish a connection.
You could then think of your torrent client as being a mobile phone and the movie or game as if it were a SMS.
Only having a mobile phone without having a SIM card wouldn't enable you to receive a SMS.
And only having a mobile phone, without having a SIM card, wouldn't work out either.
Therefor, in order to receive the movie or game (SMS), you will need to let the torrent client (mobile phone) work together with the torrent (SIM card).
Torrent Harvester
is a program which searches thru numberous of online search-engines to find torrents matching your criteria.
You can also search at torrent sites themselves, some good ones are listed at the
Linx-page of this site.
STEP #3
Now that you have installed a torrent client and downloaded a torrent belonging to your movie or game, it is time to put the two together.
This could easily be commenced by double clicking the torrent, that is, if the .torrent extended files are associated with your torrent client.
When this isn't the case, or, when you are using multiple clients, you should save the torrent somewhere first.
After that you just launch your client and open the torrent from there.
It should pop a window up with some information and after acknowledging the download, it should allready start to begin picking up some seeds, peers and speed.
Remember, you will always be in need of atleast 1 seed to complete a download.
STEP #4
Upon finishing the download, your torrent should have reached the status of 100%.
Usually game-torrents exist of an imagefile which would be likely to have an .iso or .bin extension.
Images are single-file backups of a CD or DVD; they represent the entire content of a data carrier without a CD or DVD being physically present.
These files can act up as if they were physically present CD's or DVD's, however, you will be in need of additional software to do so.
To fool the computer you must have a virtual (non-physically present) drive which allows you to mount (insert) and unmount (eject) the images.
Mounting files can be commenced by double clicking the image (when associated with the virtual drive) or via the virtual drive itself.
More information about virtual drives can be found by clicking here.
